Pro Tools HD 1

Developed for professional recording, editing, and mixing projects, the Pro Tools|HD® 1 system combines a single core DSP card running Digidesign’s proprietary TDM II bus architecture with the processing resources of your computer. This entry-level system delivers rock-solid performance, guaranteed track counts, access to high-quality Digidesign audio interfaces and peripherals, and exclusive TDM plug-in processing.

Note: All Pro Tools|HD systems require the presence of at least one Pro Tools|HD audio interface (purchased separately). Add interfaces to extend your I/O capabilities.

Pro Tools HD 2 Accel

Pro Tools|HD 2 Accel includes the HD Core card and an HD Accel card, offering more than four times the mixing and processing power of HD 1 systems, support for 64 channels of I/O, plus guaranteed support for up to 192 simultaneous audio tracks with no stress on the computer. Expanding the system's dedicated processing power and I/O capacity is as easy as adding additional HD Accel cards.

192 i/o

In addition to support for up to 16 channels of analog and digital input and output, 192 I/O features a wide range of analog and digital I/O options to choose from, including 8 channels of high-definition, pristine-quality analog I/O, 8 channels of AES/EBU, 8 channels of TDIF, 16 channels of ADAT, and 2 additional channels of AES/EBU or S/PDIF digital I/O.

Along with its outstanding sonic specs, 192 I/O includes an additional I/O option bay, allowing you to add more inputs or outputs, and making it one of the most unique and flexible audio interfaces on the market. 192 Digital i/o

192 Digital I/O is a high-definition audio interface specifically designed to facilitate digital input from a variety of sources into the Pro Tools|HD environment. An alternative to the 192 and 96 I/Os, 192 Digital I/O features a wide range of digital I/O options, including up to 16 channels of AES/EBU, TDIF, and ADAT I/O, along with S/PDIF I/O.

96 i/o

The 96 I/O offers Pro Tools users a high-resolution, multi-channel audio interface with excellent sonic performance. An affordable 16-channel audio interface for Pro Tools|HD, 96 I/O features a wealth of I/O options, including 8 channels of high-definition analog I/O, 8 channels of ADAT optical I/O, 2 channels of AES/EBU and S/PDIF I/O, and Word Clock I/O.

96i i/o

96i enables you to readily introduce output from third-party outboard gear — keyboards, samplers, effects, and other line-level equipment — into your Pro Tools environment. Its 16 analog inputs provide balanced or unbalanced A/D conversion using tip-ring-sleeve (TRS) 1/4" connectors. A S/PDIF port capable of 24-bit digital I/O allows you to connect professional DAT recorders, CD players, and other digital recording devices. A/D and D/A converters of the same quality as those of the Digidesign 96 I/O ensure that your signal’s fidelity is maintained going into and coming out of Pro Tools.

PRE

Featuring eight discrete, matched-transistor, hybrid mic-preamp circuits, PRE offers a transparent signal path designed specifically for the Pro Tools|HD environment. PRE accepts nearly any input signal, easily accommodating mic, line, and direct instrument (DI) level inputs on all eight channels. Comprehensive remote-controllable operation via the Pro Tools TDM software interface or Digidesign control surfaces allows you to place PRE anywhere in the studio and retain the ability to take advantage of its entire rich feature set from where you want to operate. PRE also functions exceptionally as a stand-alone device, making the same high-end sonic quality available for non-Pro Tools applications and all standard MIDI controllers.

Sync i/o

Accommodating the high sample rates supported by Pro Tools|HD with the utmost accuracy, SYNC I/O attains near sample-accurate lock to serial time code (via RS-422), LTC or bi-phase/tach signals. SYNC I/O also incorporates a high-fidelity, low-jitter master word clock that supports operations up to 192 kHz as well as standard pull-up/pull-down rates for film and video applications. AES/EBU clock I/O, video reference in/thru, video program in/out with time code window inserter, and a host of other features make SYNC I/O the obvious choice for professional Pro Tools|HD installations in commercial music and post production facilities.

Midi i/o

MIDI I/O, Digidesign’s multi-port MIDI peripheral, includes 10 MIDI inputs and outputs for a total of 160 channels, and features a hardware thru mode, allowing you to patch any number of inputs to any number of the unit's outputs without the need to access your computer. MIDI I/O connects to your computer via a convenient self-powered USB connection and includes support for MIDI Time-Stamping for superb timing accuracy and precision.

XMON

XMON is ICON’s remote, rack-mounted, analog monitor and communications system. With XMON and D-Control, operators can monitor separate, simultaneous 8-channel mixes (mono to 7.1 surround) as well as four external stereo sources. With XMON and D-Command, operators can monitor separate, simultaneous 6-channel mixes (mono to 5.1 surround) as well as three external stereo sources. External inputs are selectable to main, near-field, or mini speaker configurations. XMON also provides separate stereo Cue outputs, studio monitors (SLS), and a dedicated engineer’s headphone output.
